Dear Families of Candian Rockies Public Schools,

Re: Continuity of Education Website Update

First and foremost, we hope that all of our families are continuing to stay safe during these
uncertain times. In our efforts to update and support families on an ongoing basis we would like
to share some additional resources and information available on our website regarding
Continuity of Education Planning.
When families navigate to our CRPS homepage you will find a button labeled “Continuity of
Education”. This button will take you to our Technology Page. Here you will find information and
resources pertaining to our technology programming. Located at this site as well are
expectations around the use of tools and resources provided by CRPS. The main expectations
being that all items will be used in a respectful manner and for educational purposes only.

From the Technology tab you can navigate to our Assistive Technology Page. Here you can
read about the possibilities for support of students’ learning using technology. Our Continuity of
Education Page
has multiple resources for parents discussing a variety of topics including
screen time. This page also includes sites for learning including MediaSmarts. Our Digital
Citizenship Page
further outlines tips and sites for parents. Here you can navigate through our
programming that we provide for our students. We have a direct link to our Digital Citizenship
Site
as well as a link to our Parent Resources page related to mental health support. Our
Google Learning Page provides parents with guides and videos related to Google Classroom,
Google Meet and Seesaw. These are platforms being used by teachers at this time, to connect
and collaborate with students. Finally, there is a link to our Information Services Mission
Statement
and our continued commitment to supporting the learning of all students and families
of CRPS.

To conclude, we would like to share once again that we are all striving to support the learning of
all CRPS students and their families. Teachers are continuing to reach out and support students
and are ready and willing to answer any questions you may have. We hope you find these
resources and information helpful as you navigate through our new, temporary learning reality
that we are all facing.

Thank you for your continued support of your children's learning from home.

Sincerely,

Christopher MacPhee
Superintendent of Schools
