CRPS Labor Relations Update: October 2, 2025 

On September 29, 2025, the Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA), which represents teachers and school administrators across the province, announced it will begin labour action in the form of a general strike starting Monday, October 6, 2025.

A general strike means that teachers and school administrators are required to stop all services and leave Canadian Rockies Public Schools (CRPS) facilities. All CRPS schools, including online, will be closed starting Monday, October 6. We hope that this does not last long.
